At a glance

  • Global deletion affects your account across all Zionel churches.
  • Start from Your profile and keep the returned request reference.
  • Some church, financial and backup records need separate handling.

Choose the right action

Leaving one church affects your membership in that workspace. A church administrator can change church membership or roles but cannot delete your global Zionel identity on your behalf. Canceling a church subscription or a recurring gift is a separate financial action. Global account deletion affects your identity and memberships across Zionel, not just the currently selected church.

Start account deletion

  1. Sign in to Zionel in a web browser and open Your profile.
  2. Choose Delete Zionel account. Complete any required recent-authentication check and review the displayed effects.
  3. Enter the requested confirmation phrase and submit the request once.
  4. Keep the returned request reference before sign-out. It identifies the request; it is not proof that every provider or retained record has already been deleted.

What the workflow does

The workflow revokes sign-in access and sessions, removes church memberships and deidentifies the global account. It redacts supported authored prayer, testimony and care-request content and queues deletion work for configured owned-media processors. Failed processor tasks can remain pending for retry without restoring sign-in access.

It is not a complete deletion of every record held by a church. Associated household, child, attendance and financial histories can remain and need category-specific review. Financial, audit, security and backup exceptions may also require restricted retention for a legitimate obligation or purpose. A request must be assessed against the actual affected records; an unexplained permanent exception is not a substitute for handling a valid deletion request.

Help and questions about remaining records

For an account-recovery or accessibility barrier, email support@zionelchurchapp.com with the subject Account deletion or Privacy and enough non-sensitive information to identify the issue. Do not send your password, verification code or another person's records. Zionel may need proportionate verification before acting.

Contact the relevant church about its church-directed records, or contact Zionel for help identifying the responsible party and supported process. Request the status and explanation of any retained category using your request reference. Subscription cancellation, donor refunds and other people's records are not automatically changed by this account action.
