Availability and scope
AI-assisted functionality is feature-controlled and may not be enabled for every church. Zionel does not enable a user-visible external AI provider in the production launch configuration. Current external-provider evaluation is restricted to non-user-visible staging shadow tests. Before any user-visible external AI feature is enabled, the feature must be approved for the church and role, identify itself as AI-assisted at the point of interaction, and remain subject to authorized human review.
Data handling
When an AI provider is enabled, user-provided prompts and accompanying request context may be sent to that provider. Zionel’s current production configuration prevents that external provider flow. Any future activation must bound the context needed for the request, limit unnecessary personal, pastoral, children’s, safeguarding, financial and authentication information, and match the approved privacy and provider terms.
Human review
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate. An authorized person must review content before it is sent, recorded, relied on or used to make a decision affecting a person.
High-impact and emergency use
Do not treat AI output as legal, medical, financial, safeguarding, emergency or authoritative pastoral advice. Do not use it to make an automated eligibility, discipline or access decision about a person.
Governance state
The configured external AI adapter is restricted by code to staging shadow evaluation with a global kill switch. Provider retention, training use, regional processing, contract terms, permitted data classes and jurisdiction-specific notices must be approved before that restriction can change.
